Casting with a fly requires some skill. If catching with a lure is the type of fishing you enjoy, why not take on a challenge, and try your hand at this technique at sea?

Although not common when targeting tuna off our coast, due to their massive size and ability to destroy tackle, there are some who are chasing record fish with a fly rod. It is advised to use a 10 – 14 weight rod with about 400 – 600 metres of backing.

Inshore both yellowtail and snoek can be caught by fly which is a lot of fun, and especially challenging if its yellowtail you are after!
